Accessibility and special needs

  • We offer two simple wheelchairs for use in museum

Due to safety of the works of art, it is not possible to bring your own stroller into the exhibition areas. We have strollers for use in the museum for toddlers.

Parking is located below the museum. Disabled parking space is located by main entrance (see accessibility and special needs)


The nearest bus stop is Fylkeshuset in Tønsberg and is located about 4 minutes walking distance from Haugar Art Museum. Tønsberg bus station is located about 7 minutes walking distance from the museum. See


Tønsberg train station is located just 9 minutes walking distance from the museum. And it will take you approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by train from Oslo.  Check out to find your transit to Tønsberg.
