En internasjonal konferanse for vikingtid, kultur og kreativitet 
13.–15. august 2026, kl. 11.00–15.00 hver dag 

Midgard Talks er en internasjonal møteplass der forskning, formidling og kreative uttrykksformer møtes for å utforske vikingtidens verden. Siden 2018 har Midgard Talks samlet forskere, formidlere og kunstnere til foredrag og samtaler som gir nye perspektiver på historie, mytologi og kulturarv. Her undersøkes hvordan fortiden fortsatt formes, tolkes og lever videre i samtiden.  

Som alltid har vi håndplukket dyktige forskere og utøvere fra feltet for inspirerende møter mellom kunnskap og kreativitet. Årets program spenner fra arkeologi og norrøn litteratur til musikk, dans og scenekunst, og inviterer til refleksjon rundt identitet, tradisjon og vår relasjon til naturen. 

This year, we welcome Clare Mulley, a specialist in Old Norse literature with a PhD from the University of Oxford, as an expert commentator. In three of our lectures on Old Norse Literature, she will join the speaker to explore the themes and ideas in greater depth.
