In Steingata 7 we still find the house where Thor Heyerdahl lived throughout his childhood and youth, until he moved from Larvik as an 18-year-old in 1933.
Tours
The house is currently owned by Larvik municipality, but it has been decided that the building will be put up for sale. Therefore, tours of the building are no longer offered. To ensure that the building is still accessible, the Thor Heyerdahl Institute has published a digital 360-degree tour from his childhood home.
